an every improving course, that demands respect from any level of golfer, big hitters beware you will need accuracy also, i prefer my 3 wood on most holes as the fairways are some times hard to find in summer with suttle drops both left and right of the short stuff, think your way round and you will defenatly enjoy my course

    >Tight course, fairways and greens well guarded by bunkers, straight accurate shots required. Length although an advantage on a few holes, not necessary for the majority of the course. Water comes into play on several holes, but only long water carry tests are the tee shots on holes 10 and 12.

A very well laid out course with good bar facilities and an excellent if a little pricey food menu. A couple of holes are a bit non-discript with poor fairways. Much shorter from the yellows.

My advice is to put any bogey behind you quickly as to dwell on it on this course will breed trouble as you chase your score from the club grabbing fairway hugging rough or well placed fairway bunkers. Be more careful if the weather is good and dry as clubbing needs to be even more precise. Think your way round and you'll be equally rewarded.
Tytherington is a proper golf course. It will give you all the answers to every question you have ever asked yourself about the game. Take liberties and you'll feel foolish. Think, play, enjoy the scenery and forget your bad shots and you'll end up smiling and with a decent score.
God (as he calls himself at my club!) didn't give you a handicap so that you could play to par without one. It is just about the only thing that gets given to you in this game so use the shots at your leisure and you may end up with some left over.
Of course Tytherington has some 'gimmee' holes, yes some of the fairways could look more like Augusta, that's right they could give you a free 5 course meal and a massage after your round - but I say you'll not find many fairer courses where you have to or should have thought more than this. Enjoy.

Demanding, but fair Course. Try the blue tees for a real challenge! Rewards accurate play and long hitters (doesn't every course ?). Any shot slightly less than perfect will be punished.
