Course Details

Course Name: Thurso Holes: 18 Yardage: 5853 SSS: 69
Mainly parkland with holes facing different directions. Conditions are usually windy with many holes having out of bounds alongside. Not especially hilly but the long 4th is uphill and into the prevailing wind. Because of the wind, there are few course hazards but severe ditches and a burn provide sufficient test. Several tree areas have recently been planted and there are fine views of the Pentland Firth and the Orkney Isles form the course and the clubhouse.

Hi my name is andrew I'm from Australia and am looking for work. I'm a qualified tradesman ( welder ) but am looking for some sort of labouring work (golfcourse). I come from a hard working background with a practical mind and a good sense for operating machinery. Am able to work using my own inituitive and also work well in a team. I am able to start work straight away. If you could help me with some work or point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated thanks for your time.

For many years Thurso has been considered to be the poor relation of the other Caithness golf clubs. This no longer can be considered to be accurate. Recent tree planting amongst many other improvements all over the course has made Thurso more scenic, challenging and enjoyable to play. Why listen to out of date descriptions of Thurso when you can come along and find out for yourself!!!!
