This must be one of the best public courses I've ever played on. The greens were poor in the winter but now (June 2000) they are back to their best. When the tees are back, some of the tee shots are quite intimidating but a great challenge. Not that long but tight in many places, leave your driver at home !! Get your spoon out.

I have played this course many times and have enjoyed the round good or bad, so I would recommend it any anyone. This is quite a hard course with as the name suggests a lot of woodwork. The facilities are good and even the 9 nine hole is worth a look.

The course was over played and so were the greens. However if it was private it would be one of the best.
