Great Views ( on a clear day ) if your up torphin on any other day you need your head examined.
Golf course it is not, i cant see the challenge in driving almost all of the Par 4s some of them with an Iron?? Namely 4,7,8,9,10,11 almost 13 and 17 if you like that sort of think then fine , i preffer a proper challenge like a course thats 7000 plus yards and its windy - thats a challenge!!

Torphin Hill Sirs,
several years ago I had the honor on a couple of occasion on your wonderful golf course with a member of your club, Ronnie Prentiss. I recall him telling me that your course is in the Guiness Book of records since a member of your club holed a 1 on hole #1, a 2 on hole #2, a 3 on hole #3 and a 4 on hole #4 - and perhaps a 5 on hole #5. Is my memory correct? Has this, in fact, actually happened?
Thank you in advance for your cooperation. I hole the occasion arises in the future when I can once again "climb" Torphin Hill.

well said mate.as a member(albeit a student one) id have to agree and say peter has very little tolerance for a bit of a challenge.torphin is a challenge, great exercise and a fantastic day out.as a close relative of mine once said, "if you can get round torphin with the same ball you can play anywhere"

Obviously Mr Simpkins is as we say a CRAP GOLFER . He could not play in the conditions that day. The scenery is marvellous on a clear day.

One of the best hills course in Scotland. To play this course you have to be a keen golfer, but the views are stunning. The clubhouse is one of the friendliest in Scotland. You have to try and play it yourself.

Hillside Course! Boy, do they mean hillside. Take a mountain goat not a caddy. Once you are up the hill, past the fourth it flattens out and becomes a real course again.
