Torvean Golf Club is a small club with membership of 400. One of our main aims is promoting junior golf in Inverness and although our junior membership stands only at 42, this is a 50% increase on 1997. The club was founded in 1962, and our present clubhouse which comprises of a lounge bar with pool area, and toilet / locker facilities was opened in 1988. It is intended to extend the clubhouse again in 1999. Bar meals weekends only at present.

Course Name: Torvean Course Holes: 18 Yardage: 5784 SSS: 68
A municipal parkland course run by the Highland Council. The course was extended in 1988 and includes one of the longest par 5 in the north of Scotland at 565 yds. The course has 3 ponds, one to the left of the 8th fairway, one to the right of the 15th green, and one in front of the 17th green (163yds carry). A challenging course for any golfer.

    The course is now in fantastic condition.We have aquired the services of +1 golfer Steve McIntosh as Head Greenkeeper who has the course set up tough but fair.The greens are getting very quick.Recently renewed 1st,9th and 17th greens and extended the pond at the 15th so its by the green(very tough)Also renewed ,1st,2nd,3rd,5th,10th14th and 16th tees.
    Any category 1 golfers(5 or below)who fancies a game with me,get in touch.I can sign you on for a tenner.
