This is a good simple course, and once you have climbed the hills, affords good views over the Forth to Stirling and the Hill-foots. Most of the trouble lies on the right, so hookers are favoured here.
The greens are large without being huge and the bunkers are fair for the average golfer. A 'wee burn' (small stream) winds its way around the middle 12 holes and can be tiresome, but not difficult to avoid. It is an enjoyable course to play despite 'Coronary Hill' a deceptively steep par 3.
