My name is Neil Dawson and I have been a member at Tylney Park for the last two years. My handicap is Sixteen. Tylney Park is situated in the beautiful village of Rotherwick. For a short course(Par 68) it plays very difficult, if you are straight of the tee's the second shot can be quiet easy but if you are wayward of the tee the you will more than likely finish behind a tree. The Par 3's on the course are very tricky 2 of them are short and the other 2 are fairly long, The 16th is fair the hardest hole on the course the tee shot is the trickiest shot as the landing area is very small it will play long if your tee shot is wayward but only requires a 7/8 iron if the tee shot is perfect once the ball is on the green you will face a very tricky putt.

Tylney Park is not a long course yet why is it one of the more difficult courses in that area of Hampshire? The reason is because of the trees. If you can hit the ball straight then you will be able to shoot low, and it is as simple as that. Also if you are giving shots away in a match-play situation, then make sure that you have one the match by the 16th. (The hardest hole on the course)!!!!
