Well designed golf course with a good variation of holes, some short and tricky others requiring monster drives to get your par.
Today was the first day I played Walton, not a bad Golf Course but some of the greens were not in the best condition, with loads of pitch marks unrepaired by lazy golfers.
Only other thing which could make it better would be better signage and course cards need updating because the yardage is miles out on some holes.

As a keen golfer I have to say that Walton Hall is the best course I have played so far.The course offers challenges of varying difficulty and accuracy is a must on several holes, errors can cost you dear ! The condition of the fairways and greens is absolutely superb - far superior to mant private clubs I have played. All in all one superb golf course and a must for all golfers seeking a serious challenge to their golfing skills. I cannot wait to return as soon as possible.

I have played a few municipals in the Manchester and surrounding areas and Walton Hall rates as the best by a long way. The course is in superb condition and requires good straight shots to score well. There are many hazards along the way including wide streams cutting diagonally across some fairways. It is also the longest course I have played, so you will have to be fit.

Dear all,
I have recently started playing golf and have played at about 7 courses most of which are private courses open to the public and have found that Walton Hall although it is a municipal is one of the best I have played.
Yours sincerely
