Short and tight parkland course. Not the most exciting nor difficult course you will ever play. Some greens have been replaced and improved but still dosn't help the enjoment factor. They would have been better off rearranging the first 4 holes (3 par 5's and a par 3).
Value for money? I don't thik so.
Welcoming? No, definately not. I always feel like I'm intruding on the 'select' members.

Hi, cant believe its so long since i was on here, well anyway i got my new irons and i cant sleep at night with excitement cause they are the best thing since sliced bread.
The 7 iron is unreal, can hit it 141 yards though that was downwind, still its a mighty distance, managed to get down to 19.6 so watch out junior cowdy here i come, have to tell you all about my chip onto the 2nd green, it was heading for the pin and just missed it by 3 foot, its ashame that it ran off the green, still 3 foot ...eh yippeee

Hi to all warrenpoint golfers,i manage to get the old handicapp down to 21, i not boasting but i got 4, 2 pointers in a row , beat that.
The course at the minute is in a heavenly state and well worth a vist.
Our last day out on the course was one of my best days ever on a golf course, i managed to hit 4 of the fairways and scored my first par and nearly got a second only the ball lipped out, i saving up for a set of tornado irons then you will see fireworks on the course, so i get back to you when i buy the irons and let ya know how im getting on.
OHH we got icecream after the round, what a brilliant day and bye for now.

Have to say the course is one of the tidiest about at the minute and very easy to find your ball in the rough, i bought myself a new driver and hitting the ball lovely now, its a TORNADO driver and cost me £15 at a car boot sale and hitting 190 yards now is no problem, can chip the ball onto the green now within 10 foot of the pin, so happy with my progress at the minute,so happy i challenge any 22 handicapper for a match. Thankyou.

Hello to all golfers, got into a four ball at last and play the warrenpoint course most sundays, my handicap is down to 22.4 after some intense practice and 30 lessons , expensive but well worth it to see my handicap drop some much ,also one of our 4 ball helped me so much with my chipping, Eddie is his name and plays of 8, he got 6 birdies last week. Thankyou.

Warrenpoint is a very well maintained, well laid out, mature, parkland course. The greens and tee boxes are particularly well kept. The only slight downfall is a lack of space means a number of fairways cross each other.
It is a good test, but with the exception of a handful of tricky holes (7, 13, 17, 18) it isn't probably the toughest test of golf, as it isn't too long and most of the fairways are inviting, quite straight and flat. With three par 5s in the opening four holes, all of which are birdie opportunities, make sure you warm up properly.

Why have people wrote such insulting comments about what I presume are members of the club. All other reviews I have been to talk about the quality of club. I would hope to see these comments removed as those who wrote them are clearly cowards as they did not leave their names

all catA juvs are little posh boys!!! wit theire heads stuck up their little holes.
the hole club is a sham. they only allow their juvs (cat B+C) to play @ shit times. most of the senor members also have their heads stuck up their holes. the pro shop is also a sham and the drinks are a rip off ( in the pro shop) the restaurant needs a new menu as well.
    but the bar is good!!!!!

This course is brilliant. I have a 24 handicap and love to play there. The course is kept good at all times and is respected. It is one of the best Golf Clubs in Down in my opinion.
