since the previous review this course has improved vastly. As per above, it had a reputation for water logging and poor course management. However the course is now very much improved and the greens are very good. The driving Range still needs improving, it gives an overall down trodden dirty look and not a Driving Range I like using. The 9 hole course is ideal for beginners and the putting green and pitching area are kept in overall good condition. The course is not a challenging one, but interesting enough.

Played this course in April 2004 as part of a stag trip to Newcastle. While there had been a lot of rain in the preceeding days and weeks, I was very disappointed with the condition of the course. The fairways were very muddy, riddled with divots and the grass was far too long (like semi-rough in many places). The greens were also very poor. All in all, like a very average municipal course.
