Located on the outskirts of Waterford town and requiring a 1 minute ferry ride across the river to get to the track, Waterford Castle is a modern parkland course where substantial investment has been made. Water in play on many holes and lovely views of the river on many a turn. We visited in June 2006. Greens were good; fairways were good; tees were terrible. Recommended

Beautiful course with a nice mixture of long and short holes.Fairways, greens and bunkers are immaculate.Well worth the trip on the ferry. Very reasonable green fees for a course of this standard. Clubhouse is the only let down for me.

This is a lovely course, with beautiful greens, which, are a pleasure to putt on. The fairways are wide enough for even a high handicapper (19) like me. It was very wet, and windy on both of the days we played and this certainly made the course much tougher.
Overall, having played Faithlegg, Waterford G.C., Dungarvan and West Waterford as well, this was definitely the nicest course, and had the best drainage too. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a game in the Waterford region.
P.S. The facilities were limited but as there is a lot of development going on at the club at present, this situation is sure to change shortly.
