For a course that has been open for less than a year I think that it is coming along very nicely. I have played it a number of times and each time there are significant, visible improvements. I do not agree with the previous posters comments with regards to the tees and greens. Even during the midst of an English winter I found the drainage to be very good on both with no sign of any need for temporaries. The only critism I would have of the course so far is that buggies were allowed out when the weather was very wet which did not help certain areas of the course which became very muddy and untidy.
Overall, the layout of the course is very very good with a nice variety of holes from sub-100 yard par 3's to a monster 620 yrd par 5 that, despite the previous posters comments, can be started with a driver. Perhaps Mr Hulson should spend a little more time on the driving range!
If you accept it for what it is... a very new course... then I guarantee that you will enjoy the experience

I am not sure that the view of N Harrhy is impartial given the connection to the club (see club contact details copied below).

N Harrhy is correct the course is enjoyable and challenging with some interesting holes, unfortunately this is not the whole story.
The tees are too small and as a result are area’s of sparse grass muddy, uneven and full of divot holes, the greens are riddled with pitch marks too numerous to repair.
The third hole is a long par 5 that is made even longer by the fact that you cannot take a driver from the tee.
The fifteenth and sixteenth holes are close enough together to be dangerous.
The last hole is an island green and this does provide entertainment watching people hit ball after ball into the water. Unfortunately there is a downside to this as I have waited behind 3 groups on the tee of this hole a number of times and quite often just walk in and miss the hole out rather than wait. It is a nice hole and the green is big enough to be hit with a three club range from front to back.
A round normally takes at least five and a half hours with 3 or more groups of players on most of the par 4 and 5’s. If you do not mind having to wait between each shot this should not bother you and you will have a good day.
The area as you can see from the address is known for its marshland and most of the course drains well, but there is still some drainage work to do – I am sure the owners will get round to this and a number of other jobs in due course. For instance there is not a single ball washer on the course. The toilets have been dirty every time I have used them, there are usually dirty glasses left on the tables in the bar.
If you waited for a few years and were lucky enough to get a quick round of golf you would have a good day out.

All 18 holes are enjoyable and chalenging. Finishing with the par 3 island green! Greens and tees in exelent condition all winter, no temps. New large trees being planted and buggy paths going in. Fantastic clubhose and exelent food.
