Course Details

Course Name: Westerwood Holes: 18 Yardage: 6616 SSS: 72
Set in ideal golfing country this parkland 18 hole par 72 course offers the supreme golfing challenge. Each hole meanders through the silver birches, firs, heaths and heathers which are natural to this area. Standing on the first tee, the player sees the fairway sweep away to the left and two very well struck shots will be required to reach the well guarded green tucked away amongst the trees. This sets the same for the round and before the majestic 18th is reached there are another 16 golfing delights to savour. These include the difficult 4th with its two water hazards. Seve's trap, the 6th with Seve's cunningly placed bunker in front of the green; the tantalising 9th with its small undulating green, most spectacular hole is the 15th aptly named the waterfall a fabulous par 3 set against a 40 foot rock face and finally the 18th possibly one of the finest finishing holes in golf.

The golf course is first class and all the staff in the 4 star hotel were very accommodating. I look forward to returning once the 5 million development is finished.
