this course is good and i play there lots, but it can get boring.
the greens are in good condition but the fairways are poor and 'patching'. grass is often to long.

I have played Westonbirt many times. I have a fluctuating handicap of about 19. There are so many positive things about this course that it would take me ages to write them all, but I'll try.
1) The course is superbly well-kept, the course is always in fabulous condition. This is due to the fact that it is one of this country's best-kept secrets.
2) The price. The price for a day-ticket for juniors is great value. That means I can get dizzy going round and round all for a fiver.
It is a nine-holer but don't let that put you off. All of the holes have characters of their own. Every tee I stand on I find myself itching to play that hole. There is one of the shortest par-three holes you will ever come across, it takes an easy Nine Iron to reach the green. I've known people hit a Seven Iron from the tee and the ball was still going up as it flew out of bounds.
The clubhouse is almost a temporary building, housing the essentials; a few chairs, two tables, a toilet and the Winners' Boards.
If you live within 30 miles of Westonbirt you should have already played it, if not then DO!
