As a former member of Whitehill I would strongly recommend the course to any level of player. I started my golf life at Whitehill and after only 2 years and a lot of expert tuition from head pro David Ling I reduced my handicap from 24 to 7. The course is challenging but at the same time forgiving. It will play different every time you play due to swirling winds and ample hazards. Whether you are a long or short hitter you should enjoy this beautiful golf course. Only critisisum is too many cooks.

I like this course even though they have changed the order of the holes so that what was the first is now the tenth. Either way both opening holes are over small but nonetheless daunting water features, which can be a temptation for your ball especially if there is an audience. The course is reasonably mature and hilly enough to make you puff especially on the par 9th. I guess the secret of success on the course is knowing which way the rolling contours break. The greens are largely flat and well kept and the course is bunkered enough to trap the unwary. My favourite hole? - the par 5 11th which disappears into a valley, through a belt of trees and up a hill lined with large mature gorse bushes the other side - my shots always seem to position me so that I end up digging the ball out from under the bushes! Watch out for the hares which seem to jump out of the rough when you are searching for the lost ball!

A rolling countryside course, fairly challenging for both the experienced golfer and the novice. Par 4, 3rd hole is about the best on the course.
