A fine course which has been in good condition every time I've played this year. Wide, open fairways with some punishing rough. Greens are fast and undulating.
Staff (and the dogs) are friendly enough and make Woolley one of my favourite courses.

    >My main complaint is dogs which I understand belong to the owners are allowed into the clubhouse while people are eating and on my last visit I was appalled to see that people were allowed into the restaurant in muddy wellingtons and boots apparently from a shoot and for a private golf course is not on, I have been considering applying for membership but this has delayed my decision.

Having played the golf course 3 times over the last month I have found it to be in good shape. The greens are now well maintained and the course is beginning to mature with water hazards and tree plantation. A good round of golf is to be had at 'good value' per round mid week and I found the clubhouse most welcoming!

18 Hole course that has something to offer golfers of all standards. The fairways are wide and well laid out. The down point is the greens. All 18 greens were severely damaged and out of play through 98. Greens are now in play but they still need time to recover. There are a few water hazards but the first tee is the one to remember, tee off over water with approx. 130 yds until dry land. Worth a round or two.(Autumn 99)
