I have played many times on this course. A while ago,the Club undertook a good deal of tree felling and clearance on the fringes of the course, which damaged the terrain but it has since recovered from all that. It is a good course to play with enough water challenges and is a fair test of golf. It is set in a lovely village and in a very attractive part of the world. The 9-hole course (on the other side of the road) is an excellent practice course and is definitely not a 'pitch and putt'. The self-catering accommodation nearby at Les Allees du Green is good and the restaurant La Garaudiere (in the village) serves tasty food. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

I have played here a few times over the past three years, I stay at Les Allee Du Green next door, and have found this to be a good course with a great layout and quite a bit of water. The 9th and 18th are particularly good with the lake coming into its own on both holes especially the 18th.
I note the previous comments and although not an expert I would say that things have improved since those reviews. I will certainly play there again.

This course was SO bad I walked off after 9 holes and asked for a refund of money. There is no difference between the fairways or the rough. The greens, well where do I start? Not possibly but definately the worst I've played on.There is some grass on them mixed in with the dirt and the moss.Spend wisely.Don't go here.go to Dijon bourgogne or chateaux de chailly instead.

I played there, yesterday.Six years ago,I played it and swore I would never go back!At the time, there was no grass on the tees and little white flowers in the fairways. It has improved since then, but still a long way to go.I will say this, however, the general layout of the course is terrific. The space has been used very wisely, and the length of the course (from the tips where I played) is more than adequate.I think I used almost every club in my bag--another test of a decent design.I learned later that the course was designed by its sole owner.I have a 4 (bonafide) handicap, and have been very critical of course layouts in the past.I found there to be 18 good golf holes here--no honkers like most French courses have somewhere on them. This guy either got very good import from somewhere or is a golf architect savant.
The greens need several deep aerifications and tons of sterile sand dumped on them. The course has no irrigation except for the tees and greens(which are severely overwatered). The greens are too contoured to be mowed other than by hand. The Triplex mowers in inexperienced, underpaid hands have scalped the greens in many locations.Hand watering and cutting of the greens would greatly improve their condition.I thought the course was esthetically appealing. The mounding and shaping must have cost millions--and no sprinkler system!?It was also a very pleasant course to walk,as the only hills are man made.
What a shame to let a potential gem go to waste in such a beautiful region.
