I've been a member of Mont Garni for almost 9 years now and am writing this note because the last one appearing is from 2011, so it's time to update. The previous comments by Wouter Nagels and Golf Bandit are still accurate. It's a very challenging course even though it is pretty much flat. Indeed, a few moguls would make it even more challenging. It is rather long, having 2 par 5's on the front 9 and 3 (!) on the back 9. Green fees are quite reasonable and apart from the occasional tournament, it isn't that crowded. Most players push/pull with many assisted by small batteries, but there are a number of electric carts for rental. Holes 8, 9 and 10 are flanked by ecological zones that are not to be entered notwithstanding your errant ball may have landed in one of them. Even if you're not having one of your better days of play, the walk alone among the many tree-lined holes is worth it. The finishing hole, 18, is a v e r y l o n g par 4, dogleg to the right. The approach is over an elongated, narrow pond to an elevated green. Overshoot, and your ball is in the rear bunker or on the clubhouse terrace, undershoot and you can figure out where your ball will be. Put Mont Garni on your golf 'bucket list' if you're in the area or just passing through.

I learned the game of golf on this course. I can't wait to get back and play it again! This is one of the top courses I've played in ten years...

I am surprised no one has made comment of this wonderful course. Many narrow tree lined fairways mean you keep the big dog muzzled unless a straight dive is certain. A very friendly welcome from staff made the vist a real treat. Superb days golf.
