Just returned from playing the PLATJA DE PALS and feel a warning on its condition needs reporting.
While the layout is great, the course is in extremely poor condition and thus relatively expensive.
The tee boxes were thread bear and very uneven. Fairways long and not well defined, giving little run. Greens tatty, appears that two different grasses have been used making speed very unpredictable. Bunkers full of weeds and little sand in some.
Having paid near 400 euro’s, for a four ball with two buggies, we left with a feeling of being drawn to the course under false presentences.
There is no way this course can be considered as being in the top 100 in Europe, in its current condition.
