| This is yet another great links course on the Causeway Coast. Apart from the main course, it has a separate 9-hole course. The most famous and probably, the best hole is the fourth par-3 'Leg of Mutton', so named because of its shape. It is the kind of hole where the challenge is exciting, but the relief is great when it is behind you. For an appreciation and independent view of this course please see golfer reviews. |

Being a member of Portrush you believe nothing could be nearly as good. But the truth is, Castlerock is.Tough par fours, and demanding fast greens almost always in excellent
shape. When in Ulster I always play it

I played at Castlerock in the BUSA University Championships last summer. Wow is just about the only word to describe it. By far the hardest course I have ever played, with 50 miles an hour wind in your face, and near horizontal rain, shooting 86 was no mean achievement. Finishing with a 3 made the 17 holes before worthwhile. I will definitely be coming back to have another crack!

I have played many courses in the UK and America. Castlerock is without doubt one of the finest links courses of them all and the views are breathtaking. I would also highly recommend a pint of Guinness and the Golfers Grill, also breathtaking!
