I have played this course on numerous occasions. The 3rd (12th ) is the hardest of all the holes, mainly because of the Leeds/Liverpool canal on the left hand edge of the fairway. The 6th (16th) is the most technically demanding on the course, and one must make the decision to either cut of the corner or play a iron to the right-handed dogleg at 160 yards. If you play short you have a 180 yard carry to cross the ditch that is 100 yards short of the green. All in all a very difficult hole and a good test of golf for both the high and mid handicap player's. When all the trees have grown it will be a very good test of golf.

A very interesting course with great views and a challenging range of holes. The only slight problem that mares this course is the presence of electricity pylons above it, but these soon melt into the background and do not much spoil the enjoyment of the course.
