| Rosslare Golf Links is ideally situated in the sunniest part of Ireland. The 18 hole course is laid out by the Irish Sea and is a traditional Championship Links designed by Hawtree and Taylor. The links was first opened for play in 1905. Nine new holes were added in 1992, designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr. The 27 holes provide an excellent test of golf all year round. Six holes of the old course have been reconstructed in recent years and has led to very favourable comments from members and regular visitors alike. The Rosslare golf links and the resort have a notable tendency to attract golfers who return time and time again. The Old Course at Rosslare is superb. Simply the best. Forget Mount Juliet and The K Club, this is a real golf test. The wind and natural contours of the course make it a truly enjoyable game of golf. The best course I have ever played.

The 'Old Course' is a hidden gem that should not be missed if you are travelling in the Southeast corner of Ireland. It is the perfect course to visit before tackling the more famous links courses on the West Coast. Many greens are situated in depressions making club selection difficult. I played the course on a relatively calm day and still found it challenging. The club secretary was extremely accomodating and he even allowed me to tee off prior to the women on ladies day.
