Krakow Valley Golf and Country Club - Poland
One of only eight 18-hole golf courses in Poland, where golf is slowly recovering form a longtime ban under the communist regime, Krakow Valley Golf & Country Club is an enjoyable American-style course designed by California architect Ronald Fream. Bunkers are large and plentiful and usually come into play in landing areas.
The 6,518-meter (7,128-yard) course sits at the top of the Krakow Valley and offers lovely views to the forests below. A Jurassic rock formation makes a scenic backdrop for the 13th hole. Course managers are working hard to develop golf in Poland, and the club complex features a golf academy with driving range, practice area and six hole mini-course.
