Course Details

Course Name: Abersoch Holes: 18 Yardage: 5819 SSS: 69
The course is 18 holes and each has been designed for maximum enjoyment and safety of other players. The longest hole is the 11th, 504 yards, par 5 a long straight fairway but beware of the footpath that runs across it to the beach. The 5th can be tricky, this is a blind hole with dogleg right. The course is long enough to be challenging and it is lot of fun to play. All holes are specifically named in welsh, to pronounce them one needs the help of the locals!

I have played it twice now and enjoyed it thoroughly. The original part of the course is excellent with designed and shaped links holes. The new part (first 6) is just there to make up the number of holes to 18. Perhaps that is unfair - It is just that they are not links, which is why we try these seaside courses. Superb setting on the sand dunes looking over the beautiful Abersoch Bay. Not very long which suits my game. In fact some of the par 4's were drivable. Definitely worth a visit and definitely worth returning to.
Abersoch is an excellent centre to base a weekend's golf around. Also try Nefyn and Pwllheli. Eat out one night at the Manana restaurant in Abersoch -excellent Mexican.
