With the announcement of the 2010 Ryder Cup Matches coming to the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales is fast emerging as a golf destination among its more popular neighbors in Scotland, Ireland and southwest England.

Wales has plenty to offer. The golf courses are generally far less crowed, less expensive and as beautiful as anywhere in the British Isles. Links like Pennard, Royal Porthcawl and Nefyn & District make for some of the most beautiful coastal courses in the world. All are easy to get on - and easy on the wallet as well.

GolfEurope.com has all the information you need to know about Wales, from trip planning and frequently asked questions, to course reviews, blogs and feature stories.

Column

Wales comes into its own. The links in Wales are as old as almost anywhere in the world, but in many ways, it has that new destination smell.
