Wet conditions do hamper play at the course, but in the summer months play here can be a treat. If I have a criticism its that there is not too much difference between many of the holes. A low handicapper will probably find the course a tad easy on a good day, but a good dousing of rain can change that. Higher handicapper players will find enjoyment in thinking their way around the course, not every hole is playable in the same way by people of the same ability. Be prepared for a wait at the weekends though. Early morning or late evening in the summer months being the best time to tee off.

Sadly this smashing course has suffered through the winter. Some of the fairways retain the softened profiles of what appear to be old drainage ditches running across the fairways, this feature alone makes for an interesting game. Although devoid of any real water hazards this course still has a few traps for the unwary and will prove unforgiving if you let your concentration wane. The wet winter makes the going difficult and rather spoils what is in the summer a good round of golf.

Quite a nice mature course with forgiving fairways. Nice on a summers day watching the squirrels darting across the fairways. The course is pretty flat for those who find a hilly course a bit tiring, the greens are usually to a good standard. The only down point is the course can be quite soft under foot after a good downpour.
