Ashburnham G.C. is a tough championship links, which measures over 7,000 yards from the back tees. The course is laid out in almost classic links style, 8 out and 10 back. For the average handicapper it is a tough test of golf from the normal tees even when the wind is not blowing. There are several long par 4's and 4 excellent par 3's, not to mention a few great par 5's, one of which is the 8th hole, which also reminds us of days gone by due to the presence of a war time pillbox directly behind the green. In addition to a great course, the hospitality is good, with a varied selection of food and beverages to choose from..

A definitive links course with a few hidden shots, plenty of pot bunkers with little ladders to help you to get in and out of, and several very fine and challenging holes. The professional and proshop staff are very welcoming and courteous, the clubhouse inviting with nice views of the course and Bristol Channel. As a visitor, you will be obliged to play the forward tees, as is the case on all U.K. courses, approximately 6200 yards. A fine challenge and highly recommended as one of the better courses in the area.
