As an ex member of Banchory Golf Club, I would like to offer my review of
this picturesque course. Banchory is a beautiful course set along the banks of the historic River Dee in Kincardineshire, Scotland. Recently modified, it provides a reasonable test of golf to high and low handicapped players alike.
Unfortunately, the course has suffered over the past couple of years. The greens are no longer lush and true, and the general condition of the course could be better.
A once jewel in the Deeside crown is now nothing more than a pebble. A real shame for a once idyllic course that could and should offer so much.

Banchory proved to be much of a disappointment. Set in beautiful countryside on the bank of the River Dee, Banchory promises much, but fails to deliver due to poor greens and a lack of attention to fine detail such as manicured pathways and untidy areas where course improvements are taking place.
The club house is an excellent facility which is a fine place for a drink and meal after the round.
The professional shop is a local landmark and the 'round house' is synonymous with Banchory Golf Club.
A 'nice' course which could be so great.
