Very good quality course. Shows few signs of being new cut as it is between established trees and some sizeable lakes. Many holes can remembered after the first round, which is always a good sign. Well worth a visit.

This course is fantastic. Having played Wentworth, Sunningdale and the Berkshire I can honestly say that this Club is a rising star and already after only 5 years is of exceptional quality.

Bearwood Lakes GC is a Fred Hawtree designed classic. The designer used the natural terrain to maximum effect and the resultant course meanders through lakes and lush mature woodland with scenes of serene beauty. The lakes are prevalent mid-way through the back nine and are truly beautiful.
The rough is extremely rough, as it should be, but gives excellent definition to the fairways. Tees and greens are USGA standard approved and therefore Magnificant. Course drainage is one of the best I've seen. Challenging course off the back stakes. Downside for anyone not acquainted with a member is no casual green fees.
Course was constructed by the same contractors as the Oxfordshire. Bearwood Lakes is a superior course than the Oxfordshire in terms of natural scenery and mature woodland and natural terrain. If you get the chance to play accept and you'll not be disappointed.
