I am a current member of Belmont GC. The course still suffers from the occasional flood, especially during recent times (you only need to watch the news). However this produces a temporary hinderance, but is fruitful in the long-run. The silt threat is carried with the flooded river Wye feeds the grass and produces excellent fairways and greens in the long run. This has added, along with good greensmanship, to give the course its well deserved reputation as the best playing course in the county.
In summary, this well established course provides a challenge for all golfing standards and is in short a joy to play.

A great venue for a golfing weekend with your mates! Good course, good food, decent bar, snooker room, nice little hotel! We stayed here in September '99 and had a great weekend!
