Played Blairbeth in May 2001. Really enjoyed it. Nice condition. After the first four holes, it opens out to a lovely course. Certainly will be back.

The location of this course is to say the least unusual! It is on the edge of Castlemilk (formally Europe's largest council housing scheme) onthe south side of Glasgow. This admittedly is the unattractive (in golfing terms), side of the course. But the elevation of the course allows the golfer extensive views of the city of Glasgow and beyond into
the central Highlands.
The course itself is very undulating and generally is not in great condition (due mainly to its location), but what it lacks in condition and location it makes up for in uniqueness, and a warm and genuinely friendly welcome.
As you drive off at the first your heart will be in your mouth as your ball 'hangs' over the city for what seems like minutes (this happens to an extent on the 11th and 16th holes also). The 2nd hole has to be seen to be believed, a high drive is required up a 'grass cliff face', the climb up it certainly feels like you've climbed a mountain. Other
>highlights are: the 4th, a mid iron par 3 to a green that slopes severely left; the 7th, a testing par 5, the 11th (especially from the medal tee), a very scary tee shot, and the 17th, a fiendish short par 3.
It is a course that many visitors may pass by, but if you want to experience all aspects of Scottish and particularly Glasgow Golf it is well worth a visit.

Nice, quiet little course with some interesting rolling fairways. The course is well maintained and after the first two holes are out of the way presents some challenging beginner / intermediate golf.
