Course Details

Course Name: Landsdowne Holes: 18 Yardage: 6895 SSS: 73
In 1975 Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas added to the layout and formed a new course which is slightly longer than the original course and quite tight so it is not for the faint hearted driver. However, it is still as bonnie as the main course, the passing wildlife and the tranquil settings are a most pleasurable sojourn for any golfer and you cannot help but be impressed by the location.

Course Name: Rosemount Holes: 18 Yardage: 6588 SSS: 72
Between Dr Alistair Mackenzie (Co-designer of Augusta ) and the famous James Braid's influence Rosemount has become a great course and is worthy of a visit by any golfer worth his salt who wants to play the best in Scotland.

Some famous names have started their careers here, a fairly well known Australian laddie called Greg Norman managed to beat the field and win the British Boys championships here in 1977. A course designed for good golfers to test their skills upon. At over 6,500 yards long no mean test of golf and each hole different with beautiful surrounds and tree lined fairways.

Miss the fairways at your peril. I started birdie, birdie, quadruple bogey because I couldn't get out of the heather in amongst 100 year old pine trees!
Played the course early October 03 and it was in excellent condition. New club house currently being built which means heavily reduced green fees if you are quick.

Believe me , I'm Scottish and you will not find a better pair of golf courses anywhere in Scotland to match these. I'm only 20miles from St Andrews , which for some reason people want to play (if it's golf you're after , stay clear of St A's and head to Blairgowrie , you won't regret it.)

One of Scotland's finer inland courses. Beautiful in the fall when the silver birches turn into the their autumn colors. Tough course with tree lined fairways. Somewhat resembles Pinehurst. Have played it several times with the last trip being September 1998. If you are in the area do not pass this one up.

Blairgowrie starts out reminding you a little of Pinehurst. It has some lovely holes. Beautiful to walk and challenging to play. There is also a stretch of remodeled holes that are uninspiring and a beautiful lake that mysteriously doesn't come into play. But the good outweighs the indifferent. The 17th is a wonderful par three with a tiered green.
