Set in the heart of rural Essex, this attractive 18-hole Par 70 course is situated in beautiful ancient parkland and is located in the picturesque village of Stisted.
The Club, which was originally located in Braintree, was founded in 1891.
This delightful course is now one of the most established in Essex, with it's many majestic mature trees and views of the River Blackwater which meanders along the outward holes. Over the years the course has been cleverly sculptured to fit into the existing mature parkland that was once the Stisted Hall estate. It was constructed by Hawtree and Son, and was completed and opened in the spring of 1973.

Braintree Golf Club is a beautiful parkland course, with a large number of unusual and mature trees, which luckily do not encroach too much onto the fairways, making a day out at Braintree a most enjoyable one.
