great course wen u play the front 9 u mite b 2 or 3 over gross if the wind is calm but then u got the back 9 the back 9 is really tough 10 11 and 12 is deadly.At the 2nd hole u could get a lob wedge then the next day u could b hitting a driver. I av eagled the 4th 5th and 14th and had a hole in 1 at the 6th. must play this course

its a gd corse good for beginners lik me ;-) (im rubbish)but its also quia challengind corse.and o yea I HATE THE 7TH. I CANT PLAY IT AT ALL.got gd mates at it now. toodles guys xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<3

If you can make it up the hill on the first hole without a heart attack, you've got it licked. Oxygen mask definately suggested. This is a great course with spectacular scenery. The par 3 second can be very tricky according to the wind. I have hit a 3 wood and been short and a nine and been long. I believe it is the third hole where you have a blind tee shot. Good luck on that one if you are not playing with a member. I am not a member, but know several people who are and really enjoy this course. I highly recommend it for the view and the challenge.

I am a member of Cairndhu golf club and have been for almost eight years. I would strongly reccommend this course to all golfers especially those mid handicappers to whom it will provide a stern test. The first three are the hardest opening holes that I have played in Ireland.
The tenth is also very testing, followed by the twelfth, the fourteenth and the penultimate hole.

Played the course in June 99 warm sunny conditions thoroughly enjoyed the experience. One or two very challenging holes including the par 4 1st, what a start to a course up hill all the way with oxygen at the summit.
