Fabulous course, superb greens best I have played on for a while, and 19th hole very welcoming & friendly. would reccomend to beginners & anyone who would like a change. I understand it is family run, they are doing a great job as the atmosphere was very sociable. Fantastic value for money.

Yes, course is good for beginners, but does get waterlogged when there has been a down pour.We were unfortunate to play on such a day, the course is family run and they are for the most part uninviting a pity really as they are trying to run a going concern. I pity the members.

luckily did not play on wet day! as for pitying the members I disagree would definately join if I were local to the area, my experience of the course & friendly clubhouse staff made my day or the more enjoyable.

Be aware of course rules as the owner is very stick and seems to lack any manners when approaching you to inform you of any violation of the course rules.
I only know of this after playing from the members tee on a water logged day and finding the owner approaching in his buggy whilst using his horn. He then proceeded to ask “Do you know the rules?” without even saying hello or good morning.
This did catch me off guard and think that a little courtesy would have helped.
The course is also quite narrow and this does not allow for any error in your shot, because your ball will go out of play and get lost off the course.

An excellent little golf course in beautiful surroundings, just under the Cotswold hills. The course itself is not long (5124 yards), but almost all holes are testing, with out of bounds mainly on the right. The Par-5 8th hole is probably the signature hole, with an accurate drive required to hit the fairway and give you the chance of being on for 2. (The easier option is to lay-up well short of the lake with a low to mid iron and thence to the green in regulation) Friendly club, imagine it's a good course for beginners to play - as long as they don't slice!)
