I played the new Castleblaney Golf Club course at Concra Woods today. One word describes it... Spectacular - 18 truly challenging holes in fantastic condition and with scenery to die for. It will become known as one of the top 5 courses in Ireland

I played this course about 3 years ago and really enjoyed the lay out and perfect flawless views even though my golf was not up to scratch (but I nearly beat Paddy King). I am planning another trip back there and also another game. (This time I will win) My game is on a high so look out !!!!

Since last summer, I have taken an active interest in golf. I live in Castleblayney and Castleblayney GC is my local course. My father is a former captain and has made me interested at an early age in golf. I have golfed on the course a lot of times. It only has 9 holes but it is lovely. The 2 easiest holes are 3 and 7. And the must difficult is 9 which is a constant steep slope all the way across. It is quite a difficult course as it is very hilly.

A mature parkland course nine hole course situated on the shores of Lough Muckno, Castleblayney offers any golfer a real challenge with its undulating terrain and slick greens. The course from its highest point offers the golfer spectacular views of mountains, lakes and forestry, but dont get too caught up in the scenery, because there are many challenging holes that require your undevided attention.
