The Celtic Manor Resort unfolds over 1,400 acres of breathtaking parkland at the gateway of Wales. The resort has two hotels: the 330-room, 32-suite five-star Resort Hotel, and the historic 19th century Manor House hotel with 70 bedrooms. Guests will also find three championship golf courses, five superb restaurants, two health clubs, the Clarins Health Spa and the Forum Spa. For a full on, comprehensive resort experience for business and leisure travel, the Celtic Manor Resort is the place. It's also a perfect spot for conferences, product introductions and corporate hospitality.

A mere eight years after breaking ground on the first of its golf courses, the Celtic Manor Resort was selected as the venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup Matches. No expense or detail were spared in designing the golfing facilities; the same goes for everything else at Celtic Manor. The resort's three golf courses are the new Twenty Ten course, the first in history to have been built solely for hosting the The Ryder Cup Matches; The Montgomerie, designed Colin Montgomerie; and the 18-hole Roman Road course, host to the last three Celtic Manor Wales Opens.

I am currently playing of 4 and my wife 23 and my son does not have a handicap. The Celtic Manor Resort offers three courses which are Par 59,69 and 72. Which reflects the fact that anybody can play one of these magnificent courses.
The short Coldra woods course is extremley demanding if you are not hitting greens in regulation, the Roman Road course offers agreat challenge with character like I have never seen before on such a young course. The Wentwood hillls course is a true championship course. The greens and fairways are supreme and the course in general offers an immense test for all golfers. You will struggle to play to your handicap round here which is why The Celtic Manor will make a superb Resort for holding the 2010 Ryder cup.
I Cant Wait for it !

Get a good night's sleep and stock your bag with energy bars and drinks for
18 holes on the magnificent and very demanding Wentwood Hills course. Course
management is the number one priority but a few sessions in practice bunkers
in the days before your round will really help too.
If there are many better inland courses in Wales or the UK I'd like to play
them. Great venue for the Ryder in 2010.

I have been fortunate to play many fine courses around this country and the world I consider Wentwood Hills to up with the best. The view from the summit on the 2nd hole will live in my memory for a long time. I am so impressed with the course and the whole resort I hope I am able to play again very soon 10 out of 10 Celtic Manor.

Played this last week (Oct 99) quite fantastic - played Roman Rd and Wentwood Hills and both are great. Take my advice, play Wentwood Hills whilst affordable, before debut next year on PGA Tour .

I have played the Roman Road Course on 3 occasions and I believe that it is one of the best courses I have ever played. I believe that the resort its self is unbelievable with the two proshop, driving range and many other facilities.
I will be visiting again soon thanks for the previous excellent days.
