Now under new ownership and called Bicester Golf and Country Club the course has been completely redesigned. A lot more sand and water make it much more of a challenge than before. A lot of money has been spent on new greens throughout and while some fairways are still recovering from the damage caused by new drainage pipes the course and the club are well worth a visit. Take a ball recovery tool for the water

Now it has been sensitively extended to 18 holes this is a good test of your short game there are six par 3's and lots of fun. As the name suggests, the valley topography gives several elevated tees which offer a superb view of the holes, so you'll never miss that ace!! The feature par 5 15th is a real test. The drive needs to be accurate with pine trees to the right and steep slopes to the left. Then either take on the 90 degree dog leg left over a hill or lay up for a safer approach shot to a long narrow green. In conclusion this is an improving course which offers all year golf with no winter greens needed due to the good drainage. Not for the unfit however as there are some steep sections but this makes the 19th hole more enjoyable!!

Have recently played Chesterton and was pleasantly surprised (the last time I played it was some 10 years ago when it was 9 holes). Good value for money and a good fun type course, not to long but tricky in places.

Sorry but I must say this is the worst course golf course I have seen in a long while. The fact that 7 out of 59 pros walked in during its host of one of the Midland PGA events speaks for itself. Forget being a good putter, for these greens you need to be extremely patient and extremely lucky. I will give good credit to the staff and the food but that's about it I'm afraid.
