This was clearly written a long time ago alot has changed. First point, Chipping Sodbury Golf Course is at its best right now with the green Keepers maintaining it to a very high standard. The Old course is being revamped and there is even a second driving range.
The Practice and Teaching facilities are second to none !!! With dedicated teaching professional, green keeping staff there is nothing holding this club back........... It is a wonderful place to learn and play golf... Worth a visit.....!!! Highly recommended

Par 3 sixth is a cute little hole of 168 yards, again don't go too far or you will be in some of the thickest rough you have ever seen. Par 4 seventh looks devastating from the tee but it is easier than it looks although it is all uphill. Par 4 eighth is another good chance for a birdie. It is downhill all the way but the green is not usually in the best shape. Finally you come to the monster Par 5 ninth which is all uphill. This has a great big hump up the left hand side which can cause great trouble if struck. Hit it and you will be lucky to get away with a double bogey. However if you clear it, it could bring dividends with a birdie to finish your round off.
I hope you enjoyed this review. I play the course everyday in the summer and it is a good quirky little course.
