Real easy front 9. Bit up and down, you know. Generally go round in 62.

An extremely well established, well maintained municipal course. The first 11 holes are quite challenging, especially the 11th which requires good ball control to achieve anything approaching par. There are plenty of mature trees to cunningly hide your ball but the course is well worth playing by anyone requiring a challenge without having to pay the earth.

Crookhill park. Yes, it's crooked, it's hilly and the first 11 holes are anything but a walk in the park!!!! Considering that it is a municipal course, the greens are in pretty good condition. The tees, however, are not flat and need a little more maintenance to bring them up to scratch. For the price per round it's a great value, mature and a very testing course indeed. It's essential to be able to play off all types of sloping lies and surfaces; you're very lucky if your ball lands on anything flat (including the greens)! Just remember: the first 11 holes are very tricky indeed. Holes 12-18 may bring your round 'back from the dead' so to speak. That is, if you didn't retire to the 19th after 9 holes!!! Go on, test yourself.

An excellent parkland course superbly maintained and operated by local council. Having played the course numerous times I am very impressed by both the course itself and the challenge that it presents and by the warm and friendly welcome.
