When I was stationed at Sculthorpe RAF station from 1955-1958 ,I lived in Fakenham in a large home owned by Sir Thomas Cook . In fact, there were three families there. At that time we played Dereham,as that was one of the few there. I think the fee was 10 shillings to play. We enjoyed it very much, and many was the time we teed off in fog or with snow patches on the ground. In addition,we played other seaside courses in the area. I look back with fond memories of Norfolk and Sculthorpe. Thanks for having us Yanks.
