Amazing architecture with remarkable features! Who would think a 9 hole golf course could measure 4671 yards?

May 2002 - Spent a week in Wales. Planned to play several coarses in the neighbourhood. Sticked to the 9 holes Dolgellau because of its informality and never boaring strokes that are well maintained by the symphatic ownerscouple in their nice very small clubhouse-cottage. One may miss some par 5 holes, a genuine driving range and some of the old strict critical members who think the place belongs to them.

Re visited 09/00 and proved to be just as good this time too. We've experienced a variety of weather when playing here and there's just nothing to spoil it. Coffee and butties 1st class as usual. Thanks to you all for the customary hospitality and presenting me with my hard won prize! See you next year.

I have, with a number of friends, twice visited this quaint course and can thoroughly recommend its hospitality, charm, and beauty. The clubhouse is a small cottage with an open range fire, excellent butties, and proper coffee. The friendship offered by the owners is second to none. The course is a small 9-hole set in some of the most wonderful 360 degrees of scenery and to anybody playing with a handicap would probably not be the most testing but what it lacks in challenge it more than makes up for in charm. I look forward to returning in September.
