My wife Janice and I played Edzell very recently and although the greens weren't at their best after a long winter they were still very fast. It was somewhat daunting to find three of the first four holes were blind tee shots but we relied on the yardage from the card, trusted our swings and in the end had some good scores. The final hole, a par five and again a blind tee shot, required a good drive, an even better second shot to get close in two for a chance of a par. The members were friendly, the views spectacular and Edzell is truely one of Scotlands hidden gems.

A very enjoyable yet challenging course with some fantastic views of the lovely Scottish countryside. The greens and the fairways were in excellent condition when I played there in summer. Strongly recommended.

I have a slightly biased opinion as Edzell is my home club, but I will assure you that the standard of greensmanship is very high, and the greens are always in good condition. I am, in any strech of the imagination, still a beginner and I find the course very enjoyable to play but anyone who wants a challenge can find it here.
The club does have a more than adequate bar, lounge and dining room.
