the course has improved drematiclly in the last few month since the greenkeeper took over.

I think you will find that the name of the greenkeeper in charge at that time was a Mr Gilchrist.

The layout of Hamilton Golf Club is superb. The majority of the trees on the course are now fully grown which give definition to each hole. What the course lacks in length, it makes up for in punishing wayward shots with either out of bounds or being stuck behind trees. The rough at Hamilton is compact but not long and the inclusion of distance markers has helped visitors. Overall, an enjoyable golfing experience with a few golf balls left in my bag.

Top Course. Second only to Strathaven Golf Course in the Lanarkshire area.
