Harburn Golf Club, pound for pound, is the best course in the Lothians!

As a member of this course I am a little biased however I must say that of the 60 courses I have played throughout Scotland, Harburn still takes a bit of beating.
Although only a par 69 with 2 par 5's and 5 par 3's, each hole has its own little challenge. It is best played during late summer when the greens at their best and the slopes are at trickiest.
The best holes are probably the par 4 2nd, the par 4 10th and the small stretch which we hackers call Amen Corner which contains the 11th, 12th and 13th.
A par 4 into the prevailing wind, a 225yd par 3 across the wind and a 200yd par 3 downwind with a water burn to the left and a sloping green. The 15th is the shortest on the course but can ruin any card on the way home.
All visitor are made extremely welcome and the food is excellent.

Jim, Are you still a member at Harburn. I will be in Livingston on business May 2 - 8 and am looking for some good local courses to play.
