A woody and mature setting, some variety in the par3 and par4s, but one of the two par 5s has been chopped in half to make two holes - and there was no warning about this at the shop or on the card. Overall it's a real shame the course is not better maintained, if it had greens that were not so bare, and decent length (i.e. cut!) fairways this would certainly be a regular haunt, rather than just an occasional change of scene.

Good course on the edge of Thorndon Park, so lots of trees. First seven and last two holes played on one side of road, holes 8 to 16 on the opposite side of the road (possible to play the 1-7 and 17 & 18 as a 9 hole course).
The course is quite tight, so accurate play required, especially on the 'front' nine mentioned above. Holes 8 to 16 typically much longer and more room to move.
