The golf club at Haverhill is very friendly meeting place, with an excellent clubhouse incorporating all modern facilities, changing rooms, showers, bar, restaurants. It also has a function room upstairs. There is no discrimination between lady and gentleman members, subs are all the same, and the course is available to all members at all times, providing no competitions are taking place. We have a very healthy junior section where the young players are helped and encouraged. Many competitions are mixed, adults and juniors, with an evening function to follow. Infact during winter months a few social functions are arranged to take place, which do not include golf. The club was established in the mid seventies as a council course, and taken over by members in the early eighties, and has thrived since then, going from strength to strength.

1mile East of Haverhill turn left at mini roundabout into Chalkstone way, turn right no next mini roundabout into Couplas road. Golf club is on the right. Car park 1.4 mile past the clubhouse.

The greens are very nicely kempt and the course provides an appropriate challenge to beginner and experienced golfers alike. The greatest challenge of all presents itself to those with a Y chromosome.
