Having played this course from the start of the season, I was very disappointed with the state of the greens. They must be in the running for the worst in Scotland title.

i have played this course on many occasions and every time i played it seemed like a different course as the weather, wind, etc has a large say on how this course plays the greens are the best i have seen on a municipal course for a very long time, the par 3s are testing and i would say go and enjoy.

I play off 12 (at the moment) The 2nd is the most difficult on the course SI 1 It is only 410 yds or so but plays into usually a gale. Hit left or right and you are in trouble, this is not readily apparent from the tee. The green is well guarded and a 4 usually for me means a very good chip.Normally a 5 with a sigh of relief. The par 3's have already been mentioned, say no more. The 9th up hill and plays long a 4 is a good result!! 16 17 and 18 depending on how the wind blows and does it blow ?? turns these into par 5's.This course although open is a real test on your skills and patience.

I am a 18 handicap and have played this course many times. It is still a young course but is coming on nicely. Open parkland with some cracking holes especially the par 3's.A good challenge for any golfer and a club house where everybody is welcome. My best round 86.
