|Course Name: Leicestershire Holes: 18 Yardage: 6330 SSS: 70|
|Leicester Golf Club was established in 1891 and originally had a 9 hole course which was designed with the assistance of the first professional G. Smith. The course was further extended to an 18 hole in 1899 and again in 1910 with the help of and design James Braid, and in 1936 Charles Mackenzie redesigned the course. The present course was designed by CK Cotton in 1967, as some of the holes were lost in the War, however the 7th hole is the only one which dates back to the 19thcentury. The Evington Brook forms a significant feature coming into play on the 5th and the 11th.
