The 'Links' was originally an 18-hole course and evidence points to it being formed since 1887 when opened by J. H. Taylor who designed the course, having won three 'British Opens'.
The course was a great challenge to low and high handicappers alike and continued until 1940 when being taken over by the War Office as a training area. During this time parts of the course were sold and so when the Club re-opened in 1950 it had become 9 holes.
Although under 5000 Yds (S.S.S. 64) the course still proves to be demanding with small well guarded greens and rolling fairways set around Incleborough Hill. There are many good holes including the 6th, which sees the drive finish in a valley leaving a medium iron to a two-tiered green which slope from back to front.
The Club has grown in stature in recent years and its former tournament touring Professional 'Gary Player' said 'A very varied and tight course, which is a joy and a pleasure to play'.
The Club is owned by the Links Country Park Hotel and there are 43 bedrooms all en-suite, a Conference Centre, Restaurant, and Bars, a clubhouse with a Bar and Restaurant. The 9-hole Golf course, indoor heated pool, all weather tennis court, sun bed and solarium are all free of charge to hotel guests.

A very tight and demanding 9 hole course. Don't let anyone tell you Norfolk is flat! The sixth, seventh and eighth holes have spectacular views over the North Norfolk coast.
